Apple Releases Developer Beta For iOS 10.2

iOS 10 is said to be the most powerful version of iOS ever built. iOS 10 offers dozens of exciting features but what really makes it stand off the charts is the impeccable messaging functionality. iMessage is now more efficacious than ever before and it is one thing that makes iOS even better than android in many ways. Owing to its superlative messaging features, iOS 10 is the most successful mobile operating system to date. Clearly, Apple doesn’t want to lose its grip over the market. That’s why the company has now geared up to revamp and improve iOS 10 through a series of incremental updates. The most recent update is iOS 10.1 that was released by Apple just a few days ago.

iOS 10.1 is available to all those devices that are compatible with iOS 10. This incremental update was meant to fix some trifling issues in iOS 10. But other than that, there was nothing out of the ordinary for this new version. Except for one thing that it brought some new camera features but these too, were only for iPhone 7 Plus. Days after the release of iOS 10.1, Apple has explicated its plans to move further by releasing the developer preview for its upcoming iOS 10.2. With this, Apple has initiated the beta testings for this forthcoming incremental update which is likely to arrive within few weeks.

Expectations From iOS 10.2

The previous iOS 10 update (i.e 10.1) didn’t have much to offer except for a few improvements and bug fixes. So clearly, expectations are huge from the upcoming update. iOS 10.2 is likely to bring many exciting features especially for messaging. iMessage has certainly been one of the finest works of Apple for its mobile operating system and it is being loved by the iPhone users. Nevertheless, Apple wants to take the messaging to a whole new level with the forthcoming iOS release. However, we don’t know much about this new version yet and we might have to wait till it goes live to know everything else. But since the beta testings have begun and developer preview is out in the open, we do know about the major changes and several new features in iOS 10.2.

What’s New In iOS 10.2?

iOS 10.2 will be a major update especially for iMessage since we’re going to see so many new emojis that were never seen before. Apple has extended its emoji vocabulary, rendering full support for Unicode 9.0. First off, you’ll be seeing emojis for different professions like painter, cop, astronaut, teacher, student, chef, mechanic, doctor, farmer and engineer. Also, there will be two emojis for each profession i.e male and female. And if you happen to be an animal lover, then you’re gonna love it as you’ll get so many new animal emojis as well.

Besides that, you’ll see new wallpapers, new camera settings, new screen effects in iMessage, new widgets for video app and several other enhancements.
