Which one is best for E Commerce WordPress or Magento

There is a good number of E-commerce platforms, but the two most well-known and stable one is Magento and Woocommerce. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages that keep them above their competitors. Magento is a standalone product, which is now owned by the eBay, whereas WooCommerce is a plugin for WordPress. Both have their strong communities which provide great support to queries.
But when it comes to choosing one of them one has to start with to take a look at opportunities, plans, and needs.
Who are your product target group?
- The number of products you offer and what would be the web traffic on your online store?
- Can you support your store with additional infrastructures, such as an ERP system?
- Do you want to have a customized online store and you're willing to pay the extra cost for it?
- Do you need to hire an experienced developer team or you OK with a predefined, but limited set of functions?
Similarities between Magento and WooCommerce
One of the similarities between them is that both platforms are open source systems, which means that they can be developed further by anyone. The huge benefit of an open source system is its flexibility if you need something that is not by default, it is likely that someone has already programmed an extension for it or you have to find someone who can do it for you.
Each platform has the support of a powerful community. WooCommerce is backed by the massive number of WordPress users, while Magento is supported by its dedicated community that constantly develops and checks the code.
Both systems allow you to upload an infinite number of products and manage them from one place.
You can also run a blog page on both platforms only in Magento you will need to install an extension for this while the WooCommerce has WordPress blog feature with it. Both have product variation, stock management, email, user portal, refund and payment features which are the base of any E-Commerce platform.
