How To Use The Remote Finder Feature On Roku

The Roku TV remote is compact and handy. It comes with an astonishingly sleek design and rugged elements. However, no matter if it’s a Roku remote or any other remote, it may get on your nerves when you lose it. Or you kept it somewhere and you are not able to find it. Normally, all you can do is use your wits and try to remember the last known location of your remote. But thank heavens, Roku comes with an amazing feature that makes it a lot easier to find your lost or stolen Roku TV remote.

The remote finder on Roku lets you locate your Roku remote in case it’s lost or misplaced. However, the feature is not available in the older Roku devices. To use this feature, your Roku streaming player must have a locator button on the top. It’s a small remote shaped button located on the top of your Roku streaming media player. If this button is available, then it’s a clear indication that your Roku Streaming Device supports this feature. Now let’s see how you can use this feature!

How To Use The Remote Finder Feature?

When you are unable to find your Roku TV remote, you can easily locate it if it’s nearby. Just press that locator button we told you about and if you’re lucky, your remote will make a sound if it’s placed somewhere within the range of your Wi-Fi network. The sound won’t stop until you have the remote in your hands. Press any button on the remote and the sound will stop.

Please note that the remote will not make any sound if the battery is dead or the remote is placed beyond the range of your wireless network.
