Microsoft Azure is a private and public cloud application service which is also known as Windows Azure. It provides a range of cloud computing services, including those for compute, building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services, analytics, storage, and networking through Microsoft-managed data centers. With the help of these services, anyone can develop and scale new applications or run existing applications in the cloud.
Microsoft Azure cloud application Service is a fully managed "Platform as a Service" (PaaS) that integrates Microsoft Azure websites, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Mobile Services, and BizTalk(Inter-Organizational Middleware System) Services into a single service, adding new capabilities that enable integration with cloud systems.
Platform as a Service (PaaS)
It is a cloud computing model in which a third-party provider provides a platform that needed for application development to the users over the internet and that helps you to hosts the hardware and software on its infrastructure. It enables you to focus on your business logic while Azure takes care of the infrastructure to run and scale your apps.
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
It is an instant computing infrastructure and managed over the internet or cloud computing model that allocates virtualized computing resources to the user through the internet. It helps the users to avoid the cost and complexity of purchasing and managing the physical servers. It also provides hardware, storage, servers and data center space or network components to support enterprise operations.
BizTalk (Inter-Organizational Middleware System)
It is an Inter-Organizational Middleware System (IOMS). It help simplify the complexities of actually connecting with the applications (via transport and application adapters) and orchestrate the flow of data graphically and helps run and manage them in a scalable way and it also enables companies to automate business processes with the help of adapters to communicate with different software systems.

It helps to maximize the value of existing on-premises Windows Server and/or SQL Server license investment while you are migrating to Azure and eligible customers pay a reduced rate on Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS) and a reduced rate on Azure SQL Database (PaaS) and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS).
In terms of flexibility, it introduces an instance size flexibility for Azure Reserved Virtual Machine Instances or size flexible RIs and this makes your reserved instance purchasing and management even simpler by applying reservation discounts to different VM sizes in the same group. With the help of instance size flexibility, there is no need to deploy the same VM size to get the benefit of your purchased Azure Reserved Instances (RI).
