Exploratory Testing a technique which stands true to its name

We humans have the ability to think which makes us unique also it helps us in analyzing the situation and taking decisions or coming up with new ideas or solutions for a problem.That is where exploratory testing came in,it stands true to its words which means that it is about exploring and finding out new things about the software,it’s functions,impacts,uses.
 

It is continuous learning process, test execution as well as test designing. In layman terms, a tester designs his tests cases as well as executes them all at the same time. The actions of an exploratory Tester is based upon his previous actions and observations of the behavior of the product and his own review process

 

Here,the tester is continuously making decision regarding the next test steps or which part would require how much amount of time.


In this testing the testers are constantly involved in maximum test execution and minimum planning.Here planning is referred to as creation of test cases,declaration of scope,objective and also approaches.Although all the activities aren’t documented formally but  still test execution and test design activities are performed in sync.
