Amazon Rolls Out Kindle Lite Beta App For Android

Amazon, the biggest E-commerce company has recently updated its Kindle app. After a week, the company has released Kindle lite App for Android in beta stage.The App is designed to take less than 2MB space in your phone memory. Kindle Lite App is aimed for low-end Android devices and also can be used on 2G networks. The App is designed to be mainly targeted at Indian readers. Users can read ebooks from their smart mobile phones. The light Kindle app also allows its users to store and manage their storage efficiently. Like the standard Kindle App, users can read, buy books and access kindle store also. They can enjoy reading in five Indian languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, and Malayalam.

 

The new Light weighted kindle App lets you access kindle store and record all your recent books and shows identical books to you in the home section. Lite beta App offers the feature which gives them direct access to read an ebook without downloading the ebook.When you restart your reading after disturbance, kindle helps to take you back to the position where you have left off the last time. You can monitor your data usage on Wi-Fi/mobile data and manage storage.It gives you the permission to read thousands of free ebooks. You can shop for the ebook via Amazon Pay, credit or debit cards, and net banking. The Android phones with version 4.4 and above can enjoy the beta Kindle App.  You can also free up some space by removing the pages cached offline. The App has also included a feedback section for the users to come up with their suggestions and feedback so Amazon can make it better in the forthcoming release.

The app has been developed considering the devices which have space and connectivity issues.Surprisingly, features like Flashcards, Word Runner, Popular Highlights, X-Ray, and Word Wise that all are a part of the standard Amazon Kindle app are not a part of the  Kindle Lite app. You can download the Kindle light beta App from Google play store. Google, Linkedin, and Skype apps have also released in lighter versions for mainly targeting the low-end smartphone users before.
