Acer Launches First Windows Mixed Reality Headset In India

Acer, Taiwanese PC maker has just unveiled India’s first ever Mixed Reality (MR) headset which is known as “Acer Windows Mixed Reality”. The company has launched their headset in collaboration with Microsoft. The device will have to compete against VR headsets like HTC Vive, Playstation VR, Oculus VR etc. The all-new mixed reality headset comes with 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) positional tracking and has long 13-foot cable which helps the user to move around freely. The headset is to set up.


You can even connect it to a PC through HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 for connectivity. The headset is the combination of AR and VR on a single platform but it feels a lot like VR. Though, the price of the headset has not been revealed yet. 


This mixed reality headset comes with a liquid crystal display of 1440 x 1440 pixels and motion controllers. It is a wireless headset which lets people to interact with each other and has 95-degree field view. The headbands of the device are very comfortable and durable. These are sweat proof and adjustable. It comes with a front hinged display so you can move the headset up while working. The Mixed Reality headset can be used in various fields such as healthcare, ultrasound. It can be used to train professionals.

The main aim of introducing the Mixed reality headset was to bring new innovations to the Indian market. It is beautifully designed with the vibrant display. Many other companies such as Dell, HP, Asus, Lenovo has already launched their Mixed reality headset and selling it in many countries but not in India. These are designed to work on windows 10 powered devices. These headsets price range starts from $299. 


Acer is known as a PC maker company. It as recently introduced Nitro 5 spin convertible gaming laptop.
