In Monkey testing, some times ,developers are also considered too as "monkey".Suppose if a monkey use computer,he will definately put some invalid inputs without understanding anything. After that, testers also apply randomly test cases to find the bug or issue without predefining any test case
##IN some cases,Monkey testing is dedicated to unit testing or GUI testing too.
Types of Monkey Testing
1)Dumb Monkey-Testers have no idea about the system and its functionality, also no assurance about the validity of test case
2)Smart Monkey-Testers have precise knowledge about the system purpose and its functionality ,also go via the system functionality, and give valid inputs to perform testing
3)Brilliant Monkey-Testers performs testing as per normal user and can specify some probabilities of bugs to be occured
Advantages of Monkey Testing
1)New kind of bugs
2)Less skilled people
3)Less costly
4)Easy to execute
Disadvantages of Monkey Testing
1)No bugs can be reproduced
2)Less accuracy
3)Less bugs and time consuming
4)Require very good technical expertise
Notes:-It is new testing type to perform testing
It can be use to make monkey testing automated, effective and efficient
It is different from adhoc tesing and gorilla testing
If we use monkey testing, what could be general process to do it,
=>Like any other tool, first register yourself with the server.
=>Make sure, you are generally follow the necessary references to build a test suite
=>Run the test suite
=>Monkey testing is the test logfile which helps in to record test results
=>The test will go on untill the system come to crashpoint so that action is recored into log file
=>At last, test result is shared with the concern person and test data can also be stored for future refernce
