What
What is UI testing?
UI stands for the User Interface, It is what user sees first in the application before functionality.
Now the question is what is UI?
It is what user sees on the page like if you visit the oodles dashboard what you will see?
- A page with fields
- A page with buttons
- A page with some validations
Basically, the user will see the page with some designs, fields, and buttons or when we don't show the source code to the user is called UI.
The interface is visible to the user in the UI, especially the focus is on the design structure, images that they are working properly or not.
When a user sees the application user will see the design and looks of the application and user will see how easy the application is to understand and use.
If user finds the application difficult to use and complex then user will not be comfortable to use the application and he will never use the application again in the future, That's is the reason why, GUI is a matter for concern, and in this we require the proper testing in order to make sure that GUI is free of Bugs.
UI testing is the matter of concern it needs to be done in all the application and very carefully because it decides whether the application will be used or liked by the users or not.
As it is important, so a good round of UI testing is required to make the application user-friendly and bug-free.
Approach to GUI Testing
GUI testing can be done through three ways:-
-Manual Based Testing
-Record and Replay
-Model-Based Testing
GUI Testing Checklist:
- Check Screen Validations
- Verify All Navigations
- Check usability Conditions
- Verify Data Integrity
- Verify the object states
- Verify the date Field and Numeric Field Formats
