What are you Testing?
Front-end tester when starts the testing, he/she should have a good understanding of the product and its functionality as well as user's requirements. It aims to deliver a bug-free product means, Product should be as per the end user expectation.
Who are you Testing
As the front end developer develop the things as per the user interface, so the front end users also should keep in mind that the functionality he/she is going to test should be easy to understand, easy to use and also test it looks and feel. In this testing, a tester should know the end user preference like:
1. what operating system they use like windows or Mac etc
2. what browser they use like Chrome or Firefox or internet explorer
3. which device they use like laptop or mobile or desktop etc
4. what is the main purpose of this product.
5. which kind of internet connection they use.
What are your Limits?
When a front-end tester starts his/her testing, there are so many things which should keep in mind especially it's limited:
1. Exact requirement of an end user.
2. Deadline to deliver the product to end user.
3. A budget for this project.
4. A target of a user's for this project.
What are your device and browser support targets?
When we start front-end testing we must perform cross-browser and responsive testing. a tester should ensure that-
1. The content should readable on the different browser.
2. All functionalities should work fine in the different browser.
3. The pages should be responsive with the different browser.
4. Navigation from one page to another should work fine.
Selecting the Right Testing Tools:
Most of the time tester do front-end testing manually. but if the functionality is complicated then sometimes testers need to use testing tool to do better testing. when they are going to choose a tool to ensure that the tool is not only cost effective it should easy to use as well.
