This tutorial to use Hikvision DVR on iPhone and Android phones, the launch of the new iOS 11, and the decision of Hikvision to introduce more new devices to register on its own DDNS server.

What is iVMS-4500

iVMS-4500 Hikvision is a mobile phone monitoring application that is available on iPhone and Android phones, which supports the Hikvision CCTV camera, DVR, HD-TVI CCTV camera, IP camera, NVR etc. Major Features of Hikvision iVMS-4500 Mobile Monitoring Applications include:

 

Real-time video live view up to 16 channels;

Remote playback of CCTV cameras

PTZ control and CCTV camera movement, pinch to zoom in and out in preview mode;

Support for calibration for preset activation and configuration as well as brightness.

Support snapshots and video recording;

Management up to 256 sets of devices. Device profile can be added / removed / modified.

How to use the Hikvision CCTV app iVMS-4500 on iPhone and Android

 

1.Create a hik-connect ID

 

The ID will be used to create a online account to directly monitor one or many devices at a time in the iVMS-4500. The below link will be used for the account creation

2.Go to the "App Store", or "Play Market", download the app: iVMS-4500.

 

 

3.After downloading is complete, click the app iVMS-4500 to open it

 

 

4.Go to the login section and login with the hik-connect ID which was created with point 1


5.Navigate to the devices section

 

 

6.Now add the new device(DVR) by tapping on the add button

 

 

7.Add the serial no. of the DVR via barcode scanner or entering the serial no. manually

 

8.Provide the verification code which is enabled on the DVR device

 

 

9.Now the device is added on your Hik-connect ID

 

10.Start the live liew and you are into the live view.
