Create a New Project:

To create project

Click on Project →click on Create Project.

Issue: Its a project management tool.so using Jira we find the issue i.e technical and non-technical issue.

An issue can be dependent on the client's requirements −

1.A story of a project

2.task of a story

3.Sub-task of a story

 

4.A defect or bug can be an issue

 

Jira workflow: Workflow is used to track the lifecycle of an Issue and defect. its records status and transitions of an issue during its whole lifecycle.a status represents the current state of the issue. An issue can be in only one status at a given point in time like Open, Reopen, in progress, Dev-Done, QA-done, Closed.

Open: when bug or task is assigned by the authorized person.

Reopen: when bug or tasks are not completed as per requirement so its state is reopening.

 

In progress: when the developer working on assigned task or bug. Its state is In progress.

 

Dev-Done: when the developer fixes the bug or defect after it's unit testing.it's going in Dev done state.

 

QA-Done: when tester picks up the bug for testing and its perform testing.its state is QA done.

 

Closed: when any tasks and bug are as per client requirement and its fulfill all conditions its state is closed.

 

Reports: It provides different types of reports for the project. It helps to analyze the Progress, Issues, defects, and time-duration of any Project. It also helps to analyze the resource utilization as well.Reports are of following types in Jira:
