Alpha and Beta testing in brief

We all have heard about the alpha and beta testing, these are the technique of testing and come under the last phase of testing.

Now, what is Alpha and beta testing?

Alpha Testing:

Alpha testing is the technique of testing in which testing is done by the testing team in the organization.

Alpha testing is done by the expert of testing or they have the knowledge of the application and they are testers.

Alpha testing is done on the developer's side.

Alpha testing is the acceptance testing done before releasing the product to identify all the issues/bugs in the software.

Long execution cycle is required in the Alpha testing.

Alpha testing is to ensure the quality of the product before moving the product to the release of the product to the beta version.

Beta Testing:

Beta testing is the technique of testing in which testing is done by the group of real users.

In this, we release the application for some user not for all the user.

In this, we release the beta version in the market.

Beta testing is done on the client side.

Beta testing is the external user acceptance testing done by the real users on the client side. The main aim of beta testing is to client want to make sure that application should not have any issues. The client checks the software with some user.

It is the final test before shipping a product to the customers. Direct feedback from customers is a major advantage of Beta Testing. This testing helps to tests the product in the real-time environment.

Few weeks execution cycle is required in the Beta testing.

Beta testing also concentrates on the quality of the product, but in this, we gather the user feedback and ensure if that product is ready to release to the real-time users.
