The tablo box is slightly wider and taller than a Roku XD. With tablo, you will get an ethernet cable and a power cord. The installation of Tablo is easy as you will get a start guide with it. You just have to simply connect your antenna to a coaxial cable then insert a USB drive.

 

You will be needing few things to start Tablo such as TV antenna WiFi, USB, Or either mobile, Tablet or computer. You cannot directly connect Tablo to your tv. For that, a bridge (Roku, Apple Tv or chromecast) is needed. Another option is you can connect your Tv through either your computer or tablet or mobile device.  You can either connect the ethernet cable or connect to WiFi.

 

After that, Tablo App should be installed on your ios device. It supports iOS 7 or later versions or Android 4.2 or later versions. If you don't want to install an app then you can connect to browser based app. It will then send you a message to connect to an antenna and will ask your location. After everything is done you will receive a list of channels. You can then select a channel to add to your guide. They get a higher resolution broadcast you should select 720p or 1080i channels.

As far as price is concerned, tablo is quite cheap. The price varies, depending on how many tuners you choose. It costs $220 for two tuners and $300 for four tuners. Also, you will have to purchase a USB in order to record and watch live. It has a monthly bases subscription packages, but it's quite cheaper i.e. $5 a month.
