How To Disable Face ID On The IPhone X

iPhone X was in limelight a lot before it launched. Its sleek design and edge-to-edge display grabbed many eyes. Not only the design, it seems that apple has put a lot of efforts in the security as well. Hence Apple has replaced the Touch ID with FaceID. This made the phone more secure than before. As there are 1 in 50,000 chance that someone else could unlock your phone.

The Face ID maps your face with 30,000 invisible dots to unlock your phone when you look at it. The ID is so accurate that it even detects your face with or without makeup, different hairstyles, glasses and even hats. 

iPhone X has become hack-proof with Face ID since no one can copy your has or apply hit and trial as they could in Touch ID. But, If you think someone forcefully unlocks your phone or you don't want it then don't worry because you can disable Face ID temporarily or permanently. You can do that quickly at any time you want. After you disable face ID you will then have to use the passcode to unlock a phone. If you wish to use face ID again, you will have to re-enter your passcode on your smartphone. 

 

To disable Face ID you have to follow few steps:

• Press and hold the Side button and either Volume button.
• You will see “Slide to power off” pop up on your screen with some other options for powering down the device or to make a call to your local emergency services.
• Your id will then be temporarily disabled and to again use face ID you have to enter the passcode.

You can also disable Face ID through other ways such as, if you don’t unlock your phone for 48 hours, If someone else tries to unlock your phone for five times if you have reboot your phone. But, disabling the Face ID does not mean your face gets unregistered.
