After the success of the last Android release i.e. Marshmallow, we are counting days till we have the newer version of Android in our smartphones. Google has recently released the new android version which is said to be the seventh major release of the Android OS. Android 7.0 Nougat as we know it, is expected to arrive anytime soon. However, the over-the-air update is available to all the Nexus Smartphones while LG V20 will be the first Android 7.0 powered Smartphone. Shortly after that, the new version will be available to all the remaining android powered Smartphones. Google had released the first beta of its long awaited Nougat OS in March 2016 and on August 22, it officially released the seventh version that will be coming along LG V20. Although the first look of LG V20 has been unveiled, it is yet to arrive in stores. Google claims that Nougat is going to be the sweetest android release so far and it is going to revamp the android platform as we know it.

Google reveals that there are going to be dozens of new features and notable changes in Android Nougat. Also, Nougat is going to be the first android version that will enable the users to switch to a split-screen mode. Doing that, the users will be able to use multiple apps on the same screen in a split-screen view. Let’s now talk about the other exciting features that Android 7.0 has to offer.

Refined Custom Options

Android Nougat provides better customization options for your smartphone and gives you access to more than 1500 emojis including 72 new ones so that you always have something to express your feelings. It boasts a quick settings control where you can easily manage all the WiFi, Bluetooth and Flashlight options and place them exactly where you want to see them. With Android Nougat, you can actually move all these settings icons in the same way same you arrange all the apps on your homescreen. Android Nougat also lets you see the online content in your preferred language. Once you do that, all the search engines will display results in that language only.

More Advanced Power Saving Mechanism

One great feature in Android Marshmallow was a power saving mechanism called, “Doze” which puts your phone to sleep whenever it is kept idle for a while. But one major setback of the doze mode in marshmallow was that it doesn’t work when your smartphone comes into motion. This is the only condition it imposed. Your phone needs to be stationary or else it just won’t work. But what if you are carrying the phone in your pocket? Of course it is idle and so doze mode should start working. But it’s not like that. When you are carrying it in your pocket, the phone is also moving with you and that’s why it doesn’t work that way.

But the new Android 7.0 release helps overcome this flaw. The revamped doze mode in Android Nougat works perfectly well even when you are carrying the phone in your pocket while you are walking or even running for that matter.

Support For VulkanTM

Android nougat could very much be a treat for the gaming freaks. With Vulkan API support, it refines the gaming experience up to great extent. VulkanTM is an advanced API for rendering 3D effects in order to provide an immersive gaming experience.

Seamless Updates And File Based Encryption

Android Nougat powered devices will be able to download and install software updates much faster. Besides, the system updates will now be installed in the background. This means you won’t have to wait while your system completes the update. So you can continue to use the apps, play games or access the internet while your updates are being installed. Apart from that, Android Nougat enables high-end file encryption for protecting your private files from the other people who use your smartphone.
