Facebook 360 degree update

The Facebook has announced a lot of updates to its 360-degree live video platform. The reason for this update was that the 360 video had many flaws and hence it was mandatory to make this platform more accessible to everyone. It added various features, some of them are for developers while some are for the viewers. Earlier, their focus was on Live broadcasting to its Spaces VR app. Now, it has been shifted to 360-degree videos and has added features with camera certification program, Live playback, 4K support. Although facebook says 4k feature is currently not available on Oculus Rift. The most interesting feature is, facebook lets you live to stream the 360-degree videos in 4k resolution. And when the live stream is over, then also you can see videos as VR with 360 degrees. To watch video streams in 4K resolution, as virtual reality you would need Samsung Gear VR. The usual size for spherical photos is 1080p, but this is considered a  low resolution for 360-degree videos.

Facebook is even allowing 11 cameras and 7 software suite that will help everyone to do everything. It will allow you to interact with friends or family using facebook comments. Through facebook logo, you can easily detect 360 ready cameras and software. Although there are the variety of VR which are not that great so it's difficult to choose which works best going live which are known as the Live 360 ready program. The 360 ready cameras and software includes Giroptic iO, Insta360 Pro, Garmin VIRB 360, ION360 U, 360fly 4K Pro, Z CAM S1, Insta360 Air and Insta360 Pro.
