Posted By : Vishnu Gaur | 25-Feb-2018

Create columns for Active sprints/Kanban board:--->>

By default every board have only three vertical columns with given name:-->

1. To Do

2. In Progress

3. Done

You can add, remove and rename these columns.

If You can make changes in columns according to your project requirement.

Let's get started

First, you should have admin access to the project to make changes in columns field for the particular project. Login with Admin user.

go to "projects" and select your project. now you should go to "Board settings" which is shown on right side.

Now you should select "columns".

If you want to add a new column you should select "Add column" tab which is on the right side.

You can see the delete option and rename option also. Now I am creating some column with the name.

1. Fixed

2. Under QA

Default columns will remain same.

You will map status of workflow with columns according to your project requirement.

You will see the unmapped status of workflow on the right side of the page.

To Do, In Progress and Done already have the same status of workflow if the workflow has this status.

Let's understand from an image.

Now you can see the name of all columns which you will creator defaults also. in right side unmapped status of the workflow.

You can see delete option and add option also. if you want to rename a column, you should take mouse on the column it will pop up edit option there.

Now it's time to mapped status with columns.

If you want to map any status with any column you should drag an unmapped status in the column it will map status with your column.

I will map 'Analysis status' with To Do column and 'Analysed' status with Fixed, Resolved status with Fixed QA testing with Under QA,

Closed status with Done, Open with To Do.

Now You can see changes in below image.

Now you can see which workflow status is mapped to which column. If you want to unmapped any status you can unmapped via drag and drop. All column will show on Active Sprint display or  Kanban board. below image will show the changes on screen.

I did not create any issue so it is not showing any issue with this image.

columns help us to see the how many issues are resolved and how many are solved or processing.
