Internet of Things is the next big thing that’s going to happen. Every electronic device manufacturing companies are aiming this. Big names like Google, Intel etc are slowly making their way to IoT. Intel has the head-start since they’ve started it early. Intel is trying its best to become the very first in the IoT segment.

The IoT is an expanded network of wireless electronic devices that will soon change the way we live. It’s a scenario which provides objects or people distinctive identifiers with the ability to transfer data over the web without using the human to computer or human to human interaction.

Big companies are exhibiting their concepts and ideas that incorporate IoT. Intel also displayed proof of concept robots that can be handled with hand gestures in its latest keynote at annual Intel Developer Forum. Another concept they displayed includes a smart vending machine that can recognize faces and provide drink or food the person has continuously ordered. This shows their sense of determination to become the first to achieve it.

It’s not just becoming the first to move into IoT, but it’s also aiming to come up with creative and innovative ideas. Intel with it’s smart devices and faster and more powerful chips, aiming to position itself on the top in IoT segment.

The blockchain and bitcoin also hold a crucial place in the Internet of Things segment. IoT can be considered to be the development of bitcoin and blockchain technology. Blockchain is decentralized, and this makes it simple for multiple devices to connect to the network and communicate with each other. Once these devices are connected to the blockchain, they can become self-sufficient, communicate with a service center, device user, other devices etc. We will have to see whether Intel will use the blockchain technology in the IoT devices.
