How To Run A Software Update On Your HomePod

You all must be aware about the HomePod by now. It’s frequently making the headlines all these days. Ever since Apple unveiled this product at its annual WWDC conference last year, it has created a buzz in the worldwide market. Although it was scheduled to be released in December last year, the release was postponed owing to some internal issues. After a short delay, Apple made the official announcement on January 23. The preorders began on January 26 and on February 9, it finally arrived on shelves.

For those who are not yet familiar with the product, Homepod is a powerful smart speaker introduced by Apple Inc. Like every Apple product, it has got a stunning look. Apple’s Homepod has a round cylindrical body with a small touchscreen on its top that lets you control and access the device features. The device runs on an exclusively designed iOS-like operating system called “AudioOS.” It features an inbuilt A8 system-on-chip. The Homepod also comes with a Siri voice assistance that helps you control the device features as well as the other HomeKit accessories. Just like the other Apple devices, HomePod also has its own software. You can also update the software as soon as a new firmware arrives for an over-the-air download. As the device goes mainstream in the international market, Apple is going to release new firmwares that will bring new features and bugfixes.
