Apple knows how to maintain a proper balance between its hardware/software products and services. This year like every other, we’re going to witness a fleet of new products and services from Apple Inc. Yes, Apple is ready to shake the digital market once again. iPhone 7 is expected to arrive this September. But iOS 10 and tvOS 10 are making the headlines every other day. Apple has already launched the beta version for its long awaited mobile operating system, iOS 10 and anyone can use it. Apple updated its beta on July 5 and the final version is expected to arrive soon.

On the other hand, the fourth generation Apple TV (tvOS 10) is all set to hit the international markets this fall. And like every other Apple product, there are great expectations from this as well. Apple Inc. has recently unveiled the potential features of tvOS 10 and it indeed seems more promising than ever. Apple tvOS 10 is going to offer a wide range of new and stunning features including exciting Siri integrations for voice control. Through this blog post, you’re going to know about four such amazing Siri voice control features offered by tvOS 10.

YouTube Search

As exciting as it sounds, instead of typing the keywords, you can now give direct commands to Siri for searching videos on YouTube. This amazing feature enables you to search the entire YouTube database right from your HomeScreen without having to use the YouTube search tab or tv dictation. All you need to do is press Siri button from the remote and start giving search commands to Siri and she’ll do the rest for you. For instance, if you want to search for “Kids Rhymes” on YouTube, you can ask Siri to do the search by saying, “Search YouTube for Kids Rhymes” and she’ll take you directly to the search results.

Tuning In To Live Broadcasts

The new Siri feature in tvOS 10 lets you tune in to the live broadcasts in a matter of seconds. Let’s see how it works!

Suppose you have a Video Streaming application installed in your Apple TV that allows you to tune in to the live broadcasts. So if you want to use that application for tuning in to live broadcasts, you don’t need to launch the app first and then tune in manually. Instead, you can simply give commands to Siri and she’ll take you to any live channel supported by the app.

Search Videos On Specific Topics

You can also ask Siri to filter YouTube search for you based on specific topics and categories. For instance, you want to watch an action movie from the 70s but you haven’t decided yet which movie you want to watch. In that case, you can give voice commands to Siri to give you a list of all the action movies from the 70s and then you can decide which one you want to see. Similarly if you’re interested in watching Soccer World Cup matches from WC 2014, you can ask Siri to take you to the list of all the matches.

Controlling HomeKit Accessories

You can also use your Apple Tv for controlling HomeKit accessories and household automation hardware. But the best part is, you can now give commands to Siri for this as well. Yes, Siri will now let you perform some regular stuff like turning on or off the light, Air Conditioner, heater or setting up the room temperature. Just press the Siri button from the remote and start giving voice commands to Siri for doing things that you like. However, it must be taken into account that Apple TV can’t control various security devices digital locks and garage door openers and giving such commands to Siri on Apple TV won’t do anything.
