Alexa Gets Amazing New Feature

Amazon’s Alexa launched long awaited intercom feature. It lets you make your several existing Echo devices to a connected intercom. The feature is rolled out to all the original Echo, Echo show and Echo Dot so make sure you update your Alexa app to access it. Amazon was trying out this feature since so long time. It even brought hands-free calling and messaging across the Echo family. For example, if you have to call someone sitting in another room, you can use the Echo for that. Using this feature you don't need to shout or go to that room.

It is very helpful for the big families as all you need to do is select a room you want to call. Each device at your home will be assigned a particular name. Then, you can activate the intercom by simply using the drop-in feature through which you tell Alexa to call or drop into a particular device. The teleconferencing feature lets you call your friends and family with just a little warning. The most amazing thing about intercom is you can also use it even when you are not at home, through the app. You only need to enable the Drop-In feature using the Alexa app. This will be helpful when you need to see your long distance relatives, friends.You can talk to your kids and see if they are at home safely. It even lets you have a look at your pets and talk to them when you are at work or somewhere else.

When you want to place a call, you have to say like “ Alexa, drop in on the living room” in this way you will make a call to the living room. This feature will let you an Echo show user to chat or even video conference instantly.
