Whatsapp delete feature

Say goodbye to those accidental messages, all thanks to the WhatsApp new feature. WhatsApp is the widely used platform for the communication all over the world and people were waiting for the Unsend option from so long. Earlier, this same feature was introduced by telegram, WeChat, Viber and now this much-anticipated feature has finally been introduced in Whatsapp as “Recall”, “Revoke” and “Delete For Everyone”. Whatsapp is currently in its final testing stage of this feature but It seems that it is nearly ready to roll out to all users. According to the reports, the company is testing the feature on both Android as well as iOS devices.

This will save users from embarrassment over risky texts. The feature will let you recall messages within five minutes and you could delete the text you have sent by mistake even before the receiver read them. This is useful for those who send a certain message to a wrong person, it could be related to something private, job, wrong emoji or autocorrect mistake. This feature will work on every message like text, video, picture, GIF and even documents. The only drawback is, the “the delete for everyone” won’t work if it has been more than five minutes. If you are able to delete it instantly, there are chances that the recipient may never get to know what you have sent as it will be deleted from the notifications as well.

Currently, the feature is in the beta stage but soon will be available to the iOS users and then to the android users. Although the feature was seen in the beta version of the widow's phone in August it is still not sure when will it get released to all users on android and iOS. This feature will again, be optional just like the “read ticks” and “last line” option. It will be completely on you whether to turn it on or off in settings. The feature is very much different from the current delete option which deletes the message only from the sender’s phone. The feature will be introduced in Whatsapp version 2.17.1.869 in iOS and afterwards android.
