Google released a major update for its highly acclaimed Photos app which is being used by millions of people everyday. Rolling out from today, the latest update of Google Photos will give you access to several new and exciting features. As a matter of fact, the app already boasts a number of astonishing features like Advanced Editing, Visual Search, Smart Albums, Screencasting and much more. Perhaps, the greatest benefit of using Google Photos app is that it offers unlimited cloud storage and your Photos are automatically backed up without you having to do anything. Not only that, if you have a Google Photos backup, you can access your photos from any device while being in any corner of the world. The Visual Search feature lets you search photos by different categories including People, Places and Things. Then there is this advanced editing feature that offers powerful editing tools to enhance the beauty of your photographs. Last but not the least, the app makes the most out of your photographs by creating attractive collages, animations and videos. For all these reasons, even the iOS users are more inclined towards Google Photos app.
Clearly, Google doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned with the new upgraded Photos app which is said to be the most advanced version of the same. This blog enlights some of the most amazing features introduced in the new revamped Photos app. So let’s see what’s new with this update.

Suggested Sharing
To begin with, Google has added a new Suggested Sharing feature which helps you decide what photos you should be sharing with your friends. From your most recent photographs, the app now suggests the best ones by using facial recognition methods. As a matter of fact, the Suggested Sharing in Google Photos is very much comparable with the Facebook Moments feature available in the mobile app of Facebook. The latter compiles some of your recently captured photographs and allows you to share those on your timeline with a single tap.
Shared Libraries
Another great feature called Shared Libraries allows you to share a bunch of photographs from your Photo library altogether. You can either choose all of your photographs or create a subset of your favorite photographs and then share it with your friends.
This new feature is introduced to make sharing easier with some of your close friends and relatives. Enabling the shared library would automatically send your photos to the select contacts. You can choose a few people from your contacts with whom you’d want to share some or all of your photos. Also, it isn’t necessary that all your photos will be shared with the contacts that you’ve chosen. You can also customize the kind of photos that you want to share with these contacts. For instance, you can choose to share all the photos of a particular person with your designated contacts.
Instant Photo Sharing With Contacts
As exciting as it sounds, the Photos app is now smart enough to identify the faces of the people from your Google contacts. It instantly compares the photos from your library with the photos of the people from your Google Contacts and allows you to share with them. For instance, let’s say you just took a few photographs of three of your friends. Minutes after that, the app will notify you with message like, “10 new photos with John, Marriah, and Jacob. Want to share with them?” That way, all the photos will be automatically sent to these contacts. Isn’t it cool? Of course it is.
