BRAVE Partners With Coinbase For Bitcoin Micropayments

An emerging web browser and bitcoin payment processor, Brave is partnered with Coinbase and BitGo to render support for bitcoin micropayments. Brave claims to be the safest browser that automatically blocks ads and trackers to give you a seamless browsing experience. It also prevents your browser from all sorts of adwares and malware attacks that generally slow down your browser and degrade its performance. And now Brave is all set to push the limits with its forthcoming Micropayment functionality. It plans to build a robust and secure Bitcoin Micropayment System that autonomously makes important payments to selected user websites.

What Is Brave? What Makes It Stand Apart?

Brave is an open-source browser for both web and mobile platforms that largely focuses on providing a safe, secure and private browsing experience to the users. Brave browser comes with a built-in ad blocker that automatically blocks various ads, pop-ups and online trackers without jeopardising the overall performance of the browser. Unlike the traditional browsers, you don’t even need to install web extensions to block the ads and pop-ups. Brave does it all by itself without the need of any third party application or web extension.

Brave also reduces the loading time of a web page, thereby increasing the browsing speed up to a great extent. Brave claims to increase the browsing speed by up to 60% in web browser and 2-4 times in mobile devices. Besides, it consumes minimal battery power in mobile devices. And last but not the least, Brave also provides protection from phishing and malware attacks from malicious websites.

Bitcoin Micropayments

Another striking feature of Brave is the support for bitcoin micropayments. However, this feature isn’t available in Brave browser just yet. But if all goes as per the plans, we might have it pretty soon. Brave has already geared up for providing bitcoin micropayments. To make it happen, it has partnered with two leading bitcoin wallet service providers, Bitgo and Coinbase. This partnership is going to be the foundation of Brave Ledger which is a micropayment system powered by Bitcoin. Once the micropayment functionality is added to the browser, the users will be able to make necessary payments to their favorite websites. Brave will also keep the user identity anonymous and non-traceable. The users will also be able to schedule the bitcoin transactions for a particular time period and it will automatically make the payments when the time comes.

Brave browser is now available on all major computer and mobile platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, android and iOS. You can download the web version from its official website and the mobile app is available on iOS App Store and Google Play. You can also run Brave in your Amazon Fire TV and the Brave app is also available on Amazon App Store.
