Apple Support App

When it comes to customer support, Apple doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned. With the launch of its new support app, it gives you another good reason to put your trust in Apple products. Yes, Apple has recently launched a standalone support app for its users to streamline its customer support services. “Apple Support” as they call it is built exclusively to help you with your queries regarding the product, schedule appointments at the nearest Apple service center and everything in between. Going into details, this app will give you access to product documentation and it lets easily locate nearby Apple Service Centers. Besides, you can directly talk to an Apple support technician via chat, email or voice calls, whichever is more convenient to you.

Some other lucrative features of Apple Support app are:

  • Setting up a repair: If any of your Apple product needs a repair, you can easily get it done. You don’t even need to head all the way to the service center. Just get in contact with the support team via chat, email or phone call. Give them your location and they’d come and pick your device. When the device is repaired, it will be shipped back to you.

  • Worldwide directory of all the Apple Service Centers: The app gives you access to an extensive worldwide directory where you can see the phone numbers to all the Apple Service Centers anywhere around the world.

  • Lost And Stolen iDevices: You can report the iDevice theft through this app and in case you have found some lost Apple product you can report that too. However in both the cases, you must immediately contact your law-enforcement agency first. But this app makes it easy for you as it gives you access to the list of all the serial numbers associated with your Apple device. It also guides you to use find my iPhone feature and other similar features in all the Apple devices.

  • Complementary Support: Many Apple products offer a complementary support over the phone calls as well as a limited one year warranty. Through this app, you can get in touch with the support team instantly to claim your complimentary support.

Previous Attempts By Apple

As a matter of fact, it’s not the first time Apple is doing something to revamp its support services. There has been this app called Tips that came into picture when iOS 8 was launched. The app was meant to provide useful tips to the users to manage, handle, fix and report issues persisting in their Apple products including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV and iPod Touch. But unfortunately this app failed to leave a mark. And there is the Apple Store app which also lets you schedule appointments but other than this, it serves a whole different purpose.

With this new app, Apple aims to take a fresh start to consolidate its customer relations and foster its support services so that you don’t face any kind of trouble. The app however, is only available in US so far. But like every Apple product, we can expect a steady expansion to other countries as well.
