Android Pay

It’s been roughly a few years since the launch of Android Pay and the latter is continuously making progress, crossing boundaries and expanding to the new territories. Android Pay, as we all know was initially launched in the US and now it has made its way to 7 new countries including Japan, Australia, UK, Singapore and New Zealand. In a short span of time, Android Pay took the whole world by storm owing to its awe-inspiring features and avant-garde Tap and Pay payment functionality. Android Pay is supposed to be trendsetter in the FinTech industry which has paved new ways for contactless payments and is all set to hit the new markets.

Another good news arrives for the Android Pay users as Google rolls out a new update for the app. With this new update (v 1.13), Google renders support for PayPal and Visa Checkout on its Android Pay application. Apart from that, the UI of the app has also been revamped and it has been made even more user-friendly.

PayPal And Discover Partnership

PayPal is a world famous online payments system which is widely used for online money transfers all over the world. Lately, PayPal has partnered with Discover Financial Services thereby gaining access to its token services. In this way, the PayPal users will now be able to pay through their Discover cards to make all the in-store purchases at contactless terminals. As per the agreement, the users will also be able to access their Discover accounts through PayPal for online and offline purchases without even linking their accounts. And now that Android Pay also supports PayPal, the PayPal users will also be benefitting from the Google’s contactless payment services.

Google’s Partnership With Visa Checkout

Visa Checkout is an instant payment service introduced by Visa Inc. which speeds up the payment procedure. All you need to do is set up a new account and feed in your credit/debit card information and save it for the future. That way, you don’t need to enter your credit/debit card information every time you make a purchase.

As a matter of fact, Google had already announced its active partnership with Mastercard and Visa Checkout late last year which made it quite obvious that the Android Pay app is going to receive some major enhancements. Finally, with this new update, the Visa Checkout services are now added to the Android Pay wallet and the users can select it as a payment option at the contactless payment terminals.
