How to turn off and customize Siri on HomePod

HomePod is a great device with amazing sound quality and does not take much of the space in your beautiful home. You can place it anywhere you want except in front of any noisy device. Like any other Apple device, Homepod also uses Siri to control all functions. The Siri does not require the internet connectivity and is processed in the offline mode. 

As soon as you say those magic words, Hey Siri, it comes in your assistance. The Apple has assigned an anonymous ID token and your every speech is transferred using end to end encryption. But if you don't want Siri to listen to you, it gives you the option to turn it off. You can turn off the feature for as long as you want, just follow:

• All you have to say, “Hey Siri, stop listening”.
• Siri will further confirm your request, Say “Yes”.

To turn off the Hey Siri feature using a Home app, follow:

• Open the Home app on your iPhone or Ipad.
• Click on the Rooms tab given in the bottom
• Slide to the rooms that have your HomePod.
• Long press on your HomePod.
• Click on the details
• Click on “Hey Siri’ to turn off. 

Not only that, Homepod even gives you an option of changing the language or Accent of Siri. The process is simple and easy, which can be done through the Home app itself. 

 

• Click on the Home app to open it on your iPhone or iPad.
• Click on the Room tab
• Go to a room which has the speaker.
• Long press the home pod icon.
• Click on details
• Change the language through the language tab and select the language of your choice. 

By default, in-app apple devices, Siri talks in the female voice. But you can change it to male voice if you want. To change the voice on your HomePod, Follow:
 

• Go to settings
• Select Siri and search
• Click on “Siri Voice”.
• Select Male or Female according to your preference.
