How to Restart/Reset a Roku Player.
The Roku is an outstading piece of hardware with full abitlity to replace cable TV, as its small in size so it easily fits in the palm of your hand and you can carry it easily, but its not perfect they do have their flaws. It gets locks up once in a while and I have to restart it manually i.e by turning Off. The Roku is no different, sometime it gets stuck on retrieving screen or otherwise the device won't start properly.
Without an off switch, the only way to turn off your Roku is to unplug it and start it again. But there are times when you want to restart the device - and unplugging it isn't always the easiest option. Here's how to reset using the remote control by pressing the following:
1. Take your roku remote, press home button 5 times.
2. Press up arrow key 1 time.
4. Press rewind key 2 times.
5. Press fast forward key 2 times.
After you are done with above process, you’ll see the screen scroll up/down and then ll go blank. This means that you have successfully reset your device, just wait for a minute, you ll see roku start-up screen, this technique of restarting/resetting the roku is called Soft Reset.
From Menu also you can reset/restart your roku device but this will work only when your roku device is not freeze .
