GTmetrix is a popular site for analyzing web pages for optimization. It provides diversity in the analyzed content and the rules behind it as it uses two different Score Scales The scores are received in PageSpeed and YSlow categories which is based on generalized rules and may not apply to your content.
Even if parameter analyzed by GTmetrix have (F) 0% grade your content is as optimized as it can be. GTmetrix checks both PageSpeed and YSlow metrics, and it assigns your site a grade from F to A. GTmetrix reports are divided into five different sections which are listed below:
- PageSpeed
- YSlow
- waterfall breakdown

- history.

How to Use GTmetrix:
Visit GTmetrix website https://gtmetrix.com and enter URL which you want to analyze into the Analyze Performance of box and Click on GO! and then wait for a couple of moments while your site is analyzed for PageSpeed and YSlow.
After your site is analyzed successfully by GTmetrix for Pagespeed and Yslow you will receive a report card about how your site is doing.
The report is divided into three main sections.
The left section of the report consists of an image of your page and have some general info for you to know what to do with your scores. This is a general purpose report card which is designed for all.
Top right section of the report includes a couple of specific notes relevant to your URL which you have entered.
Lower right section of the report is the main content of your page.
Breakdown of Page Loading Speed
Breakdown is divided into 5 major tabs:
Google Page Speed – It is Google’s website speed analyzer. When evaluating your search result position Google does factor in your speed.
YSlow – It is Yahoo’s speed analyzer. Since Yahoo & Bing have agreements in place, Bing is probably using this information in its search results.
Waterfall -- The waterfall chart displays the loading behavior of site in your selected browser. It helps in discovering issues such as 404's
Timings – It is responsible for Listing of how long each piece of your site took to load.
History – it provides information for comparison to previous speed tests run by you on this website.
