Twitter Brings Its Video App Channel On Roku

Twitter, a microblogging site, is trying to build a video platform. It has become possible because of Roku as it gives a way to watch it all in their living room. Twitter’s video app is available on Xbox One, Amazon’s Fire TV, and Apple TV devices. This app will make the life of twitter users so much easier and interesting as users will be able to watch live videos and could follow tweets on the biggest screen at their home. Also, there will be a separate channel for twitter live videos.

Roku has 14 million active users. It will let its users watch live sports, news coverage at home. Also, you’ll be able to switch to other shows during live multiple streams. Twitter is planning to expand the live streaming video. Big screen video app will show same videos that are live on twitter at that time including its original content. Along with the videos, you will be able to access twitter’s timeline.

At NewFront presentation in NewYork, twitter disclosed about its new deals. One was with Bloomberg that it will stream 24/7 news on Twitter, which means it will include live news as well as videos posted by users. Another entertainment deal was with BuzzFeed, Viacom, Verge, Cheddar, Live Nation, IMF Fashion and much more, sports deal with PGA Tour, Tribune, WNBA, Player Tribune. It includes 24/7 news option. Roku lets its users choose from multiple live events.

This Big Screen Video app on Roku is now available to all the Roku users. The can download the app through Roku Channel Store. Also, you don't require a twitter account to watch live streaming videos. With this new app, twitter gives social media a new platform for streaming videos. Twitter has invested a lot in video streaming, they want their content to be everywhere. The new channel gives Roku users a way to watch live events.

The app was launched last year on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Xbox and now finally on Roku devices.
