AngularJS vs ReactJS

Both AngularJS and ReactJS almost serve the similar purpose while developing a modern web application which is fast, secure and responsive, all at the same time. Both are open-source Javascript libraries, where AngularJS web application framework is maintained by Google whereas ReactJS gets maintained collectively by Facebook, Instagram and a developers’ community. However, AngularJS is much more famous due to its capability of successfully addressing the challenges encountered while building and developing single-page web applications. Notably, AngularJS is also the front-end development framework under the MEANJS Web Development or Mean Stack web application development process.

In modern days, using a number of web application development tools and huge libraries is a common phenomenon among the developers. And which always raises this skull-scratching confusion regarding which one is the best - AngularJS or ReactJS.

Let's talk about the pros and cons of both of them in detail :

                 Pros

                      Cons

AngularJS

ReactJS

  • Low costs involved in context of first UI version.

  • Availability of a variety of web app development tools which promotes best team work.

  • Provides pace in terms of web app development and hence more time could be saved.

  • Easier scaling.

  • Best suitable for large front-end projects.

  • Scalability hard to find.

  • Hard to obtain universal rendering.

  • Monkey and banana problems may occur.

  • Scarcity of fine web developers.

  • Steep Learning         Curve.

Angular 2

  • Comparatively small APIs.

  • Comparatively a better choice for building enterprise-grade web applications when compared to ReactJS.

  • Google maintains the base packages.

  • Base packages are maintained by a relatively smaller community of individuals.

  • Humongously large APIs.

  • Availability of a very few Good developers. (it's even more rare in context of A2+ Typescript)

Developers most of the times chose AngularJS over React as it is more convenient to work with. Also, on google trends, AngularJS has got much larger support while comparing the two among the web app developers worldwide. Moreover, Angular also help developers to build UI’s more comfortably and with much more ease when compared with ReactJS. Further, with AngularJS, one can build web apps relatively faster too. However, if you are building an application dealing with complex business logic, I would advise to go for React+Redux.

AngularJS vs React JS will always be a point of long discussion. But I hope that one will be able to choose the most suitable web development framework after going through this blog.
